One dog per family… Ooops! Sorry, we have now recovered.

It’s a fact, the Orange fanatics are so enamoured with merriments. The funny part is, they have also been found to be a desperate bunch of caricatures who are synonymous with falsifications and exaggerations in search of attainments no matter how inconsequential they may be.

Just take a look at how they are blowing the trumpet of commendation, all the guzzling and the unrelenting clatter over the much publicised appreciation of the Kwacha. Forget the fact that there are still no drugs in the hospitals because those handpicked suppliers by President Joyce Banda are failing to deliver in time. Not only that, news has it that they are even failing to deliver the required quantity of drugs as per their contract. The story continues, no essential drugs in our hospitals putting the lives of many local people at risk.

Yes the Kwacha has appreciated but what will happen to the prices of goods? Because I still cannot afford some basics of living. I am really interested in joining those cheer leaders because at least we have some good news to hear but not good news here. I still cannot make sense of the implication of this kwacha appreciation. It doesn’t take me to be an economic expert to comprehend all this. Malawians remain pocket-less, prices of goods and services are up there, all because the economic policies of the orange administration are not pro-poor, in simple language I would say the policies being implemented are not Malawian at all.

The Economic Recovery Plan remains a political document not a developmental document. It’s a document that is owned by PP therefore whatever happens credit should go to the current leadership, forget about the role of the private sector and other stakeholders, its PP alone and PP only. I wonder if it’s still making headlines nowadays.

To show the mediocrity in all this, President Joyce Banda picked the same people that were at the pole position marauding our economy during the time of Bingu. The thieves and crooks who sang ‘amayi a Bingu amayi a Bingu ifeyo’ yet they were men have now been entrusted with the implementation of this ‘very important’ document and are now singing ‘chiwongolero amayi’.

The PP government will go down in the history books as the only visionless leadership to have ever happened in Malawi, the worst disaster ever. No policy direction, nothing. What a corrupt government we have. They can’t get anything right. They are a frustrated lot, no wonder the emotions, the anger in them, no substance but insults. They don’t want us to notice their failures but they are not doing it right. Busy opposing the opposition, that’s what they are good at.

If you have shown traits of a would-be president Lingadzi police is surely waiting for you. Expect to be called batchala, bebe, mtchona all because they have come face to face with the reality of 2014, but who goes down without a fight? If you dare criticise them you must be a sorcerer of some sort.

They want you to pay attention to the one cow per family project as a sign that we have really recovered. This only confirms the fact that the hand clappers have easily mastered the comedy script. From singing songs of praise to the mobile Admarc now they are whistling to the mobile Kraal. Ha ha ha! Soon they will be launching the one dog per family project to improve security in our homes, another ha ha ha! to this. ERP on track, one cow per family, one dog per family, JB moment. There you go with the PP traveling theater. Clowns!
